The Apple of His Eye: Discovering God's Loving Purpose for Each One of Us

First published in 1996, The Apple of his Eye has touched the lives of many people with the breath-taking truth that it shares - Jesus, risen Lord of glory, not only loves us but actually delights in us. He knocks gently at the doors of our hearts, hoping that we will open those doors and invite him in. The Holy One, Son of the Almighty, longs to be our dearest friend.

This book explores Bible passages which tell of God's loving purpose for each one of us, as well as for our wider communities. We reflect on the potter who mends the broken pot by remoulding the clay that he loves. We ponder the words of Jesus in the last days of his earthly life, as he urgently shares with his disciples what the Father is really like. We find wise words and thoughtful guidance as to how we can, with Jesus' help, build lives true to who we really are and yet filled with the glory of God.

Bridget Plass has spoken and ministered across the world, including extensive work alongside her husband Adrian. She has also written Challenges of the Narrow Way, a Lent book for BRF, Dear Paul...Am I the Only One?, a fictional correspondence between women of today and the apostle Paul, and contributed to Day by Day with God Bible reading notes. Since 2010 Bridget and Adrian have been members of community at Scargill House, North Yorkshire.
