As a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) as the Jewish Messiah in whom we find the fulfillment of all Biblical prophecy, Jennifer Bennett both embraces and teaches others about the beauty of God's appointed times. Every feast of the Bible speaks of God's plan of redemption for humanity, both Jew and Gentile, and they all point to their fulfillment in Messiah Yeshua.

For many years, however, counting the Omer was more just checking off the days on a calendar than it was a special time of reflection with God. That is until God opened Jennifer's eyes to the beautiful, prophetic, and meaningful purpose encompassed within these days. They, too, have a deep and important purpose for God's redemption plan for His people. In fact, it was during the counting of the Omer that Yeshua spent His last few weeks with His disciples. This was the period when Yeshua revealed Himself to His disciples after His resurrection and opened their eyes to understand the scriptures they hadn't yet fully understood. He was getting them ready to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, and through all Judah, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Drawing from what it must have been like for the disciples during those days, Jennifer counts the Omer each day focusing on the teachings of Yeshua as recorded in the Gospels and how they apply to our lives today. Each day is an opportunity to prepare our hearts just like they did some 2000 years ago, as they awaited the coming of God's Holy Spirit just as their Messiah had promised, so we can be filled and empowered to live by His Spirit and not by our flesh.
