This year has been incredibly challenging for so many people. On December 31, 2019 at Mid-night people were praying and believing 2020 to be a year of vision, new possibilities, a fresh start, a new beginning, and a year that old plans would be either changed or completed.In the first few days of March of 2020, we start seeing people get sick and die at a very rapid pace in the United States and in other countries. We were alarmed because this new virus called COVID-19, or the Coronavirus had suddenly done more damage than any of us could imagine. Sickness, death, grief, isolation, pain, job losses, worry, frustration, and fear was everywhere.However, we serve a God that is still able to turn our circumstances around. We do not know how long the pandemic will last but we must trust God through the process. It is my desire to encourage people to not lose hope. So many of us have been affected and are still dealing with the effects of the virus. Life's toughest circumstances and unexpected challenges can bring out either the best or worst in us. Philippians 4:6 (NKJV), reminds us to, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;" In this season and in every situation, we should take our burdens to the Lord.It is imperative that we love and support one another. We should continue to pray for healing and restoration. There has been plagues in the past that left people jobless, sick, or dead. By the grace of God, people survived and were able to eventually thrive. We must turn to our Creator and Sustainer in times like these. We must use our resources wisely and trust God to continue to supply all of our needs.
