Cardinal Hume left several moving reflections on the Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross. Within them, he once said, there is 'a message of hope, an Easter gift which gives meaning to Good Friday's agony'. These previously unpublished meditations are gathered here so that we can share that message of hope in a new future. 'Let those words speak to you', Cardinal Hume wrote, 'and I will tell you what they have said to me.'
