    Product Description

    NOBODY EXPECTS IT
Getting the news that your child has cancer is never anticipated. In a sudden twist of reality, the world is upside down and you are shaken at the deepest level. Only a select few truly understand this horrifying alternate universe you've entered, and you are left confused and alone. But instead of being allowed to fall to pieces, you do what you must (what moms always do): you "mom-up" and take care of your child.
The pages of this little book detail the raw emotions and experiences of a mother who has been through the often-agonizing roller coaster of her daughter's treatment. Spoiler alert: it's not all bad. You will find practical advice and medical information scattered throughout to make this a read of the head as well as of the heart. Nobody starts this journey knowing everything, but maybe these chapters can give you a leg up. And remember, you are not alone.
"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." -Romans 5:3-4

--AUTHOR BIO: Abigail Walker is a missionary kid, wife to a children's pastor, and pun master extraordinaire. By day, she is a typical stay-at-home mom; by night, she is a graphic designer and fantasy book connoisseur. Most recently, her expertise has grown to include the bottomless world of pediatric cancer. She is surprisingly good at chasing a toddler with an IV pole. Walker currently lives in Xenia, Ohio, with husband, Robert, daughter, Esther, and a small herd of guinea pigs.
