Tread is a Black Labrador dog who lives in a tire store. He loves greeting customers who come into the store to get tires fixed. He also loves all the attention and treats the customers bring him.

Tread is usually a happy dog. But when he notices that his friend, Danny the Dalmatian, rides in the big red fire truck, and Kooper the K9, rides in the police car, Tread begins to wonder if being a tire store dog is even an important job.
