Best Buddies is a collection of nine short stories that correspond with the fruit of the Spirit to help children develop strong characteristics, such as: accepting people as they are; keeping promises; obeying parents; telling the truth; and controlling the tongue. The storylines include the mentally and physically handicapped, the deaf, how to handle scary situations, and the neighborhood bully. When Krista was born, her mommy put DeDe in the crib with her, and they became best buddies. When Krista encounters a situation she doesn't understand, DeDe, in his wisdom, helps Krista resolve the issue by illustrating it with one of the fruits of the Spirit.
