This book tells the story of two kings, Asa and David. The story of King Asa is based on 2 Chronicle 16. Asa's family were idol worshippers. Although his father King Abijah was king of the Jewish people, he did not respect God. When Asa became king, he chose to do the right thing. He obeyed God and refused to participate in the evil things his family members did. The second part of the story of King Asa tells how he fell from grace to grass because he relied on man and not God for the protection of his kingdom and people. The story of David and Jonathan is a story of true friendship based on 1 Samuel 18-19. Jonathan had saved David's life before David became king. After the death of Jonathan, King David extended his kindness to the family of Jonathan.
