Seeing Beyond the Surface

Prejudice is a real issue - both in society and even in the Church. While it's easy to recognize in others, prejudice is often hard to see in ourselves. Yet the Bible makes it clear that judging by outward appearances is wrong. We aren't meant to be a "respecter of persons" (see Acts 10:34; James 2:1). So how do we root out prejudice in our lives?

In this five-part series titled 'Prejudiced - Me?' Rick and Denise Renner tackle this challenging topic, bringing clarity to what it means to be prejudiced and the dangers of superficial judgment. This study explores the following topics:

God calls us to look beyond status or appearance. Since He looks at the heart (see 1 Samuel 16:7), then we, as believers, must strive to do the same.
