This is my journey of radical authenticity. Once I was someone who strictly obeyed all the rules and regulations of the Mormon community. Now I'm living my true life: as an excommunicated lesbian who has given herself permission to be whoever she wants to be. That permission to think differently made it possible for me to escape religious trauma.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Wanda was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She spent the majority of her career in the world of accounting and tax preparation. In her work, everything always balanced: black and white, debits and credits. But internally, she has always considered herself a healer, someone who seeks to help others find solace and comfort. An astrologer once told Wanda that she was an interesting combination of logic and feeling. When she decided to retire from much of her tax and accounting practice in 2024, it was time to write her stories.
