Initially, these biographical vignettes traversed separately, first appearing as lectures presented to ladies, and then secondly, edited for articles. Now, they appear gathered into one small volume. These women-some recorded in Scripture and some in the annals of history-reveal the weaker vessels in their great strength bursting forth from committed obedience to the God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope.
