"I AM who I AM." That is the name by which God identified himself to Moses when he spoke through a burning bush and Moses asked who it was that was sending him back to Egypt to deliver the Israelites from Pharaoh's hand (Exodus 3:14). Within the very name of the Creator of the universe is the reality that he is who he is and that he is the same yesterday, today, and always. That means that the God who is in control today is the same God who was in control in the days of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Rahab, David, Daniel, Jeremiah, Elijah, and many more!
What does that mean for you and me? Can we take part in some of the extraordinary things that God is doing in the world today just like those men and women did during their days? You better believe it! Each of those individuals whose stories are told in the Bible were ordinary, sinful people who depended on the power and goodness of the Almighty God. As you read about these heroes, you will find strength and hope that you too can be part of the miraculous work of God even when the odds seem insurmountable.
When you're at the end of the road paved with your own ability and understanding, you'll find the road of faith marked by all those who have traveled it before you. They have prepared your way!
