After Shock, written by Kent Annan of Haiti partners, who has lived and worked in Haiti for many years. Kent explores, in the wake of the earthquake, the suffering and disaster many have experienced.
Kent has experienced the full disaster and suffering the earthquake caused, with friend’s trapper under the rubble of fallen buildings and looking for family, churches that included one that Kent attended now turned into rubble.

Kent writes his account on his experience of suddenly being part of an uncomfortable fellowship that saw many people’s faith shaken by crisis.

Kent has found that there is solidarity in suffering by taking courage from the psalmists and the company that surrounded him of grieving neighbours. Others have followed life to the edge of meaning and have heard God even there, calling for honest faith.
