The world is a lie.

believing we are untouchable. But I know the truth-nothing is

untouchable.

Not wealth. Not beauty. Not power.

And certainly not me.

I step onto the marble balcony of Aurellis Academy's Grand

Hall, the weight of the city glittering beneath me. Beyond the

wrought iron railing, the campus sprawls like a kingdom of

excess-golden chandeliers spilling light through cathedral

windows, the air thick with the scent of imported roses and

burning cedarwood. Below, in the ballroom, New York's elite

twirl in masks of silver and onyx, silk gowns whispering against

polished floors.
