There is only one thing in the Bible that the disciples asked the Lord to help them increase in. That was faith. The disciples wanted more faith. They had walked with the Lord who, basically, received everything He asked for. They had seen how the Lord marveled at the Centurion's great faith in their presence. They heard the Lord charge them with little faith, and then no faith. So, how would they get more faith? They would have to ask for it. Twice Jesus tells them that if they had faith, they could remove mountains from one place to another.
