What if Noah's Flood was not the beginning of the story, but the last surviving memory of something far older?

Across the world, ancient peoples remembered a time before the waters: a lost age, a broken order, a world of kings, warnings, sacred knowledge, drowned lands, and survivors who carried civilisation through catastrophe. In Mesopotamia, the flood was not vague legend. It was written into the Sumerian King List, preserved in the stories of Ziusudra, Atrahasis, and Utnapishtim, and later transformed in the biblical account of Noah. Beneath those texts lie real cities, flood deposits, river plains, submerged coastlines, and a much older question: what kind of disaster was powerful enough to divide human memory into before and after?

Hidden History of Noah's Flood follows the trail through myth, archaeology, geology, and ancient scripture, from Ur, Kish, Shuruppak, Eridu, and Nippur to Doggerland, the Persian Gulf basin, the Black Sea, India, Greece, the Pacific, and the Americas. It does not reduce the flood to simple myth, nor force every tradition into one neat event. Instead, it asks whether the flood stories preserve layered memories of real catastrophe, lost homelands, broken civilisations, and warnings that were never meant to be forgotten.

This is an investigation into mud, tablets, drowned worlds, sacred survival, and the hidden memory beneath one of humanity's oldest stories.
