The Word of God does not pull punches as the Bible writers describe the vast gap between the creation and her Creator, Yahweh. And, as we trace the glory and failure of God's chosen leaders, there is no more evidence needed of God's good creation and man's fall into sin than in the history of Israel's kings. The story of being made in the image of God (Gen. 1:26) and then the rebellion of man against his God in the garden (Gen. 3) are played out before our eyes in the kings of Israel and Judah. "Kings of Folly and of Grace" is a twelve-week Bible study focusing on major kings of the northern (Israel) and southern (Judah) kingdoms. The study leads the reader through major themes of God's redemption and judgment and how the 21st Century Christian can grow in his or her walk with Christ. Each study involves the reading of the history found in Kings and Chronicles and discussion questions.
