This book is an introductory guide to the final three books of the Old Testament. The prophets Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi brought God's word to the people of Jerusalem and Judah after a remnant of them returned from exile in Babylon. They brought words of comfort and challenge to a people who were facing a bewildering and at times hostile situation. As God's chosen people how could they begin to rebuild Jerusalem, the Temple and their lives in accordance with His desires? God spoke powerfully to His people and those words can help us in today's world to see beyond the immediate circumstances and know that God still has plans and purposes for His people. This book draws put the main themes and messages of each of the prophets in a way that hopefully will inspire readers to embrace the challenge to live as God's people in a difficult world for people of faith.
