This volume is the first of Paul Nadim Tarazi's commentaries on the Bible, originally released in 1982. Similarly, the First Epistle to the Thessalonians is the earliest of the writings collected in the New Testament. In it, we sense the powerful impact of St. Paul's preaching of the Gospel and his continuing concern for this newly founded mission church. We also encounter St. Paul's teaching on the second coming of Christ as he addresses a pressing question among the Thessalonian believers about the fate of those who had "fallen asleep" before Christ's return.
