Pilgrim : The Eucharist Grow Stage builds on the progress made in the ‘Follower Stage’ of this major teaching and discipleship resource from the Church of England.

The Eucharist is the second book in the Grow Stage of the Pilgrim initiative, which follows from the introductory ‘ground level’ evangelist course, The Follower Stage.

The Eucharist, explores in greater depth how Christians know and worship God in six easy to follow sessions that combine simple prayer and reflection on the Bible in the ancient, scripture based spiritual discipline known as lectio divina.

Each session includes an article by a modern writer with time for questions and reflection. Every session is support by free online audio and video resources that can be downloaded from The Pilgrim website.

Pilgrim is the mainstream Christian course for the twenty-first century offering an approach of participation, not persuasion. Enquirers are encouraged to practice the ancient disciplines of biblical reflection and prayer, exploring key texts that have helped people since the earliest days of the Christian faith.

The first part of the course ‘Follower Stage’ assumes little or no knowledge of the Christian faith and introduces Christian belief and life-values to complete beginners.

‘The Grow Stage’ aims to develop a deeper level of discipleship in those who have already turned to Christ and want to explore in greater depth how Christians know and worship God. This second book in the Grow Stage helps new Christians better understand the origins and significance of the Eucharist.
