If you have trusted in Christ as your Savior, you no longer belong to yourself. "You've been bought with a price" (1 Cor. 6:20). You now belong to the Lord. As such, you're His slave or servant. But many Christians erroneously think that if they're serving the Lord in some capacity, life will be sweet. After all, you're doing the Lord's work. Won't He protect and bless you? I'm not sure where these na ve ideas come from, but it's certain that they don't come from reading the Bible. Studying the life of God's servant, Moses, will help correct these mistaken expectations. He was one of the Lord's greatest servants in the Bible, yet he faced numerous hardships, setbacks, and criticism. This is volume one of two on the life of Moses.
