It turns out that most people are not going to learn Biblical Hebrew.

Whilst this statement is undoubtedly true, many people struggle with the Old Testament because of the gap that resides between the world of the original author and the current reader. It is a gap that seems for the most part difficult to bridge as the author uses Hebrew terms and concepts that are very far removed from our day to day life.

'Fifty Hebrew words' is not another Hebrew Grammar. It is instead an exploration of some of the pivotal ideas that help us grasp the text. Using the insights of what these terms really mean the biblical text is opened up and the gap between author and reader bridged. From examining some of the titles of God, through to words that describe the worship he is due the book explores concepts that have for the most part been lost on their journey to us today.
