Welcome to Who Do You Say Jesus Is? This interactive study is designed to help you explore and understand the person of Jesus. It will help you learn from his unique claims as you define key terms and answer questions along the way. My hope is that this study will lead you to experience Jesus in a new and personal way. I encourage you to find a follower of Jesus you know and ask them to go through this book with you.
We're so glad you decided to dedicate time from your busy schedule to read this book and learn about Jesus. Before you can follow him, you must know about him; you must learn what it even means to "follow Jesus." After all, these words can be confusing. Early on in his ministry, Jesus encouraged people with two simple words, "Follow me" (Matthew 4:19). Accepting this invitation didn't automatically equate to believing in Jesus. Rather, it served as an invitation to personally observe Jesus' ways, learn from his unconventional teaching, and ask deeper questions along the way.
As you read this book, you'll be forced to dig deeper into the Bible as you seek to understand the claims Jesus made about himself. You'll also explore historical and cultural realities to help you understand the cultural setting and traditions that point to what Jesus is communicating. As you complete each day, you'll end with personal application questions. These questions will help you personally apply what you're learning.
Broadly speaking, this study covers three basic questions. The answers to the first two questions help us arrive at a biblical understanding of the Jesus Christ of the Bible-who Jesus says he is, and who those around Jesus say he is. The third and final question then turns that information into an invitation.
