Katherine Grieb argues that Romans can best be understood as Paul's telling of a master story - about what God has done in Christ - and its implications for the life and mission of the Roman churches. She explains why Paul tells the stories he does and shows how these stories are related to his larger narrative of God's righteousness. She encourages readers to relate these stories to their own lives, and relates them herself to contemporary issues such as poverty, racial prejudice and drug abuse.
