The word "gospel" actually means "good news," and the message of Jesus is overflowing with good news for you, me, and all of humanity! Throughout his Gospel, Matthew confirms that Jesus is the promised Messiah of Israel and Redeemer of the whole wide world. Jesus is the King of kings and He came to make a way for us to enter the glorious eternal Kingdom of Heaven. He offers us unshakable peace, hope, and joy, and gives us new confidence for purposeful living. Jesus came to show us the extent of God's unconditional and sacrificial love and bids us to follow Him. By studying this amazing Gospel, we will see how the entire Bible has always pointed to Jesus, and how Christmas and Easter come together to tell one epic story of God's love and plan for mankind. We will hear Jesus' teachings, witness His miracles, and experience His life-changing power. Through our time in God's Word, we will come to know Jesus better and, as a result, fall even more deeply in love with Him.
