You can learn a lot about someone when they face death. We can learn a lot about Jesus Christ as he faced the last days of his life. The innocent Son of God was heading to take the wrath of God on the cross for the salvation of sinners. Jesus rode into Jerusalem as a king only to be killed as a criminal; and yet, he-for the joy that was set before him-endured the cross. Jesus showed us how to live for the glory of God in all things. Jesus showed us how to care for others even when our life is ending. Jesus showed us how to die in faith of the resurrection of the life to come. Jesus shows us what really matters in life. I pray as you read this book you will see what truly matters in this life; I pray that you will learn how to live and die well for the glory of God; and I pray that you will learn a lot about Jesus Christ and what matters most to him. May the innocent Son of God give you peace and teach you joy through his last days.
