The Gospel of Mark is one of the most important books ever written. It is the earliest of the four gospels, dating to just a few short years after Christ's crucifixion and resurrection, making it the earliest eyewitness account of the ministry of Christ. It's author, John Mark, was not only an eyewitness to the events he wrote about (Mark 14:51-52), but was a close associate of the apostle Peter, likely having been led to Christ by Peter himself (1 Peter 5:5).
