Centralized globalization over our individual lives grows at an ever-increasing rate. International treaties now bypass congressional scrutiny, enforcing global solutions to problems that some feel are none of the globe’s business. With the world’s drive for global equality, solving Beijing’s pollution requires Texas barbeques to also be limited in their carbon footprint. Eventually, only global laws will satisfy the view that equal justice requires equal restrictions throughout the world.

John the Apostle saw what lies ahead. He was given a tour of his future—and ours—which he recorded in the Bible’s last book, Revelation. On the surface, however, Revelation is not that revealing. It’s written in code, even more cryptic than the parables of Jesus. Neither release their wisdom to the casual student.
