The foundational principles (elementary doctrines) are the building blocks of the Kingdom of God. They must be cultivated in the life of every believer from infancy to maturity. The end result (telos) is a body or unified corpus with many distinct parts capable of presenting a standard of righteousness in the earth. The foundational principles are the "elementary school" of our spiritual development. They are the "ABCs" of the Christian faith. They are called "elementary" not because they are simple and easily grasped, but because they form the substantial basis of a foundation and solid understanding of Scripture and the Christian faith.
