We are going to look at the names and attributes of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, keeping in mind that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, being the Son of God, and being God, has the same names and attributes of God. We will also use John's Gospel as the main scriptural text to look at the character and life of Jess Christ on earth. John's Gospel differs in a number of ways from the Synoptic Gospels, that is, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, which present similar narratives of the life and death of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The time span covered in John's Gospel is quite different from the Synoptic Gospels, and most of Jesus' ministry is centered in Judea, probably, because He is said to be a descendant of King David.

John's Gospel focuses predominantly on the deity and teachings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth with its main objective being to clarify and disambiguate His relationship with His Father, and the mission He had been given on earth. The authorship of John the Apostle of this Gospel is perennially disputed, but it is of no relevance to me. What is of significance to me is the text of the Scripture, and how the deity and teachings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth can facilitate our understanding of the purpose of mankind in this life, and thereby enhance our belief in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We are, therefore, going to give you a multiplicity of cogent reasons why you should believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of the Living God, and the Savior of the world.
