A study of the Apostles' Creed, both its historical meaning and liturgical use, summing up the history of the development of creeds in Christianity. An appendix lists all books in English on the Creed written in modern times and provides some versions of the Creed in the original languages and in translations. The body of the book consists of a series of theological expositions of its verses.
