As the world watches the genocide unfold in Gaza, millions of Western Christians are pledging loyalty to the state of Israel quoting an ancient text where God is to have said 'nations that bless Israel are blessed, and nations that curse Israel are cursed.' The truth is, that God never said this to Abram in Genesis. Instead, we have the rise of Exemption Theology, the belief that Israel is exempt from the good news of Jesus because they are God's chosen people. Are they? Does God Stand with Israel, and if he does, are the Palestinian people cursed? What did God really say to Abram in Genesis 12? What is the real purpose of this genocide in Gaza? Why does America support Israel? Does God approve of genocide and if he does, how can we reconcile this with the idea of God as a God of love, mercy, and compassion?
