In one sense the Bible is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8); the written text does not change. But in another sense, it does. Jewish mystics teach that, once the Messianic Era arrives, a hitherto-invisible letter will appear in the text. Scripture will then be seen to have a whole new meaning appropriate to the new age.
