Be prepared for all the big Christian summer festivals with our essential guide of what to pack.
As I write this, we are less than 3 months away from the school summer holidays. The perfect time to relax, catch up with friends and maybe, visit one of the many Christian festivals. Whether you’re going to New Wine, New Day, Soul Survivor, Keswick or any of the other excellent festivals, here’s our top 10 must haves:
-
Wet wipes - Whether you’ve waited an hour for what turned out to be a cold trickle of a shower or fallen over in a muddy field, baby wipes are the go-to cleaner.
-
Flip flops - The sun might not shine, but flip flops are great for keeping feet clean in the shower block and mud just wipes off them!
-
Sleeping bag - trust us, even if the weather is glorious, it will be very cold at night
-
Wellies - The ultimate festival accessory
-
A Bible - Sounds obvious, but it’ll come in handy during main celebrations and seminars. Compact Bibles are great for stashing in a bag or pocket without taking up too much space.
-
Notebook - Write down notes, memories, seminar details. Plus, handy for storing information, just in case your phone runs out of battery.
-
Pens and pencils - We recommend spares, they just seem to go walk-a-bout!
-
Anti-bacterial gel - keep those germs at bay
-
Sunglasses - Always be prepared for the sun to shine!
-
Tissues - For emotional ministry times and when the toilet roll runs out!!
Oh.. and don’t forget your tent!
Whatever your summer plans, we hope you have a lovely time!
