As parents, carers, and friends, we all share a deep desire to pass on our faith to the children in our lives. We want them to not just know the stories of the Bible, but to love them, and to build a personal, lasting relationship with God's Word.
But let's be honest: that's not always easy. How do we help a child move from a simple picture-book of Noah's Ark to the rich, deep, and sometimes complex texts of the full Bible? How do we find ways to engage them with scripture away from screens?
A new creative partner at Eden, Kaleidoscope, not only asked these same questions—they built a beautiful, multi-sensory solution.
In Short:
Kaleidoscope offers new ways for children to engage with the Bible. It presents the full, unabridged New Living Translation (NLT) scripture in beautifully illustrated, single-volume books and as screen-free Yoto audio cards.
Kaleidoscope was born from the hearts of two parents: David, a pastor, and Hanna, a creative. They experienced a common frustration. Their children loved their "story Bibles," but these were often "retellings" of scripture, not the full text. When their kids were old enough to "graduate" from these, the only option was a full adult Bible—with its thousands of pages, tiny text, and thin paper. It was intimidating, and their kids quickly lost interest.
They saw a gap and felt God calling them to fill it. What if you could read the actual Bible in a format that was just as engaging as a storybook? And what if you could listen to it, too?
At first glance, you'll see the stunning, modern illustrations. But the real magic is inside. This isn't another "Kids' Story Bible." It's the real Bible, presented in a revolutionary way.
But the mission to make scripture accessible doesn't stop with print. Kaleidoscope has also brought their vision to the world of screen-free audio. Their Kaleidoscope Yoto Cards contain the full, unabridged NLT audio for their books, brought to life with professional narration.
This is the perfect way for children to listen and absorb God's Word during quiet time, in the car, or as they drift off to sleep. It’s the same commitment to the full, unabridged text, now available for every kind of learner.
Kaleidoscope is the perfect bridge. It's for children who are ready to move beyond picture Bibles, for visual learners who connect with art, and now for auditory learners who absorb stories by listening.
It's an invitation for the whole family to slow down, explore a single book (or audio card!) at a time, and see—and hear—God's Word in a fresh, new light. We are so thrilled to welcome Kaleidoscope to the Eden family and can't wait to see how these resources bless your home.
