Bradford church enters UK Top 40 album chart

A group of musicians from a Bradford church has made the official UK album charts with a recording of their music.

Usually Christian music sales through Christian bookshops get overlooked but Bradford’s Life Church hit on the idea of getting sales from its Christian bookshops counted towards official sales figures for the album charts.

The strategy worked and Dance Again moved into the top 40 at number 38 within days of its release. It also quickly moved to No1 in the Christian and Gospel charts.

The record was written, performed and produced entirely by the church’s worship and production teams with no external professional help.

Pastor Steve Gambill said, “For local church musicians, singers and songwriters this is a great achievement, not just for Life Church but also for all the churches in our nation.”
