I first came across Kaleidoscope – Kids’ Bibles Reimagined – on Yoto, when they launched their Yoto cards. My sons, who were 5 and 6 at the time, loved them and were learning and retaining so much. I started looking for more materials and that’s when I found their collection of Old and New Testament books and journals. Ordering directly from Kaleidoscope in the US came with considerable fees, so I was delighted to see Eden stocked them. The books are aligned to scripture but told in a way that primary-aged children and up can easily understand while still being challenged. The illustrations are fantastic and I love that my sons choose to read them on their own. They’re always excited to tell me what they’ve learnt — especially from the lesser-known stories. This doesn’t replace them reading the Bible, but it’s such a valuable companion.
