Songs of Fellowship

Songs of Fellowship was inspired from a discarded songbook found in a warehouse and was guided to by God. This title and deteriorating songbook, was in the midst of rubbish in an old and declining warehouse and was remarkably found by Nigel Coltman. It was a book that had gone out of print and left to rot. The title of the castoff book was ‘Songs of Fellowship’ and was instantly adored and then legally adopted by Nigel Coltman, who was a part of Kingsway Music. This was the birth of, leading hymn and songbook, Songs of Fellowship.

From the first edition of Songs of Fellowship, introduced in 1979 with just 53 songs included, it has gone from strength to strength, rereleasing soon after, in 1981, with a further 106 songs included.  This book became a leading source in Christian music and was a massively sought after product among churches across the UK. With the rise and growth of the product and of the brand, there were sure to be more releases of updated songs and music.

Songs of Fellowship has yet to disappoint, releasing various updates and providing an array of hymns and songs that are relevant to the current time periods, but also deriving from the traditional history of hymns. The songbooks are meeting the changing needs of Christians and continues to grow and expand, reaching far corners of the world and inspiring all. It is a revolutionary church essential, becoming known and loved in thousands of churches across the UK.
