Unlocking the Growth
Full Product Description
In 2009 at least 80,000 new people came to church in Britain through this approach, with around 10,000 becoming new believers. The basics are simple: invite your friends, and become an inviting church; develop a mind-set open to what God might do; work on creating a welcoming environment; learn from mistakes; and, help people to know God. "It takes a very brave person to walk into a church on their own nowadays", says Michael, "but God is still speaking to them and all they need is a gentle invitation".
Unlocking the Growth by Michael Harvey; Rebecca Paveley was published by Lion Hudson in March 2012 and is our 22623rd best seller. The ISBN for Unlocking the Growth is 9780857211989.

Unlocking the GrowthJohnny Douglas, via The Good Book Stall
A Back to Church Sunday survey shows that after six months attenders do not become regulars. Harvey writes an inspiring, clear and compelling guide to renewing our church’s capacity to engage and win people for Jesus in our communities. Each chapter is proactive or responsive to struggles, possibilities, blockages and more! This will undoubtedly become the go-to manual for church welcome and invitation ministries. It does feel American and pushy at times but subject to plenty of contextual application, and it offers so much for the flourishing and growth of all our church communities. It will require courage in application, but is entirely needful in every place across our nation. Helpful, outward-focussed & utterly action-orientated!
