An introduction to Christian doctrine from an African perspective.

Uses a framework of extracts from China Achebe’s seminal novel Things Fall Apart.

Introduces the major themes of Christian doctrine – God, Trinity, creation, grace, sin, Jesus Christ, Church, Mary, the saints, inculturation and spirituality.

Clarifies the difference between an African view of religion and a more Eurocentric view of religion.

Each of the 11 chapters concludes with three discussion questions followed by an African prayer.
