The Manual gives men a pocket-sized, bite-sized daily devotional with a man-sized impact on your day. This slip-it-in-your-jacket size book gives you 60 directly practical Bible devotionals in no more than 5 minutes each. Written by men for men, each devotional includes the text of a few Bible verses, a short and sharp exploration and an intensely personal prayer to get you set for whatever the day brings. It’s the only book you need to carry for a quick, quiet time with God anywhere and everywhere.
Written by Carl Beech – a real man’s man and a few of his equally manly friends, The Manual deals with things that matter to men in words that we need to hear and in a language we understand. This is definitely not a devotional to share with your wife or girlfriend; it’s for you and your day. Recommended by Bear Grylls, and with contributions from bush pilot Bryan J Pill, subjects covered in this first in the series include tough words on the pursuit of success and toxic relationships as well as helpful guidance and reassurance on workplace isolation, risk taking and just surviving the day.
All 60 devotionals of less than 300 words each are undated; so if you miss one you’re not thrown out of sync with the series. This makes The Manual ideal for using only on weekdays, just when you’re out and about or need a pocket devotional for those trying times, those few available moments in a hectic day or that trip takes you away from home. This is book one in a series of four pocket size devotionals that you’ll be glad you had with you in you jacket, briefcase, rucksack or glove box.
The Manual - Book 1 by Carl Beech was published by CWR Publishing in June 2012 and is our 1369th best seller. The ISBN for The Manual - Book 1 is 9781853457692.
