This book is brilliant! Having grown up in the church world all my life this book is a breath of fresh air. It cuts against all the the pressures the Christian world seems to have conjured up and helps align thinking with how God operates. I feel liberated as I do my bit to build church and establish God's Kingdom in my world. The pressure is off - I just need to wholeheartedly do my best to wear Him well. Dave Gilpin walks the walk and this country is all the better for having him here doing what God called him here to do! Thanks for daring to go against the grain. Ps. Love the video! There's no udder like it ;)

This book is amazing. Dave Gilpin manages to challenge you whilst being hilarious at the same time. This book is a must read.

You know the thoughts you have had about things you see and hear in church, you also know that it feels a bit wrong to have those thoughts. No longer! Dave Gilpin has a great way of explaining things that your brain knew about but hadn't told you yet in a way you understood. If you want to learn about the real Christian life and have fun doing it, buy this book!

I have never experienced any of Dave Gilpin's work before but Sacred Cows Make Great BBQs is such a fresh and unique read. I was sceptical initially to read Sacred Cows, but I honestly thought that this book was fantastic and it really does make you think in alternative ways. I have recommended Sacred Cows Make Great BBQs to all of my family and I think some of them may be getting it as their next present! I’m now looking forward to Giplin's next instalment!

Limited Audience - Jonathan, church leadership in a small Baptist Church

Suits mainly someone in leadership in a big corporate Church. Lots of stuff on how to sack paid workers and change songs regularly. Starts off really well with some gems but the latter chapters are a bit of a rant.
