Lectionary Reflections Years A, B & CPaul Scott, via The Good Book Stall
This book covers Years A, B and C of the Revised Common Lectionary readings, so there is a wealth of material here. The author is a person of considerable scholarship and imaginative skill so that each of her reflection offers something fresh and valuable. Her style is concise setting an example that the preacher should seek to emulate. There is humour here too, and a way of moving the reader to see things differently.
This book may be used for private devotion, as well as in preparation for public worship. If you are approaching a reading for the umpteenth time, wondering what more you can say, it may get you off the hook in more ways than one. It is to be warmly recommended.
