Interceding for Revival
Full Product Description
ministry of the world.' (Acts 6:4)
Having partnered Andrew in prayer for several years, I know that in this book he has, in great humility and vulnerability, shared with us the experience of his time set apart with God.
Through rigorous biblical exposition and meditation on the Word, he sounds God's trumpet call to pray for revival in the United Kingdom. Each chapter focuses on a biblical character through whom we gain new insights on their prayer life which will impact our own. The chapter on Ananias challenges us to be obedient to God even in the face of evidence to the contrary. Perhaps a similar act of obedience in the reader may spark a move of God through the nations. This book is rich in examples from Andrew's ministry and other contemporary leaders which will encourage you to pray for your family, church, community and nation. This book will encourage those who are committed to praying for revival to new depths of prayer and bring forward a move of God amongst us!"
Rev Paul Wilson, Chair, Methodist Evangelicals Together.

Interceding for RevivalJackie Rowe, via The Good Book Stall
The stated aims of this book are to inspire fervent intercession for our nation, to help teams of intercessors to know the Biblical basis for their ministry and to encourage all of us to pray without ceasing. After an introductory chapter based around Revelation chapter 5, each chapter takes the life of a Bible character - from the Old and New Testaments - as an example of effective intercession. So, for example, we learn from Elijah that perseverance in prayer pays off; from Nehemiah that action and prayer go hand in hand and from Paul that the Spirit can intercede through us even when we run out of words. Andrew draws extensively on his own life experience and that of others who have inspired him. His earnest desire is that this book will inspire the reader to seek God in prayer for the lost and unsaved and especially the Church. I have read these chapters at a time when prayer has moved to the top of the agenda in my own life, so the challenge to intercede with passionate, persevering prayer is timely.
