The Busy Christian's Guide to Busyness
Full Product Description
While offering practical help to busy Christians, Tim Chester also opts for root-and-branch treatment: you need to deal radically with the things that are driving you.
If you're busy because of the following; 'I need to prove myself'; 'Otherwise things get out of control'; 'I like the pressure/money'; think again!
At the root of our 'slavery' are serious misunderstandings, often reinforced by our culture. If we want to be free, then we need to counteract them with God's word. It's important to manage our time, but it's more important to manage our hearts.
God has promised his rest to all who are weary and burdened (Matthew 11:28). It's up to us to accept it.
The Busy Christian's Guide to Busyness by Tim Chester was published by Intervarsity Press in June 2008 and is our 4600th best seller. The ISBN for The Busy Christian's Guide to Busyness is 9781844743025.

The Busy Christians Guide to BusynessCarole Burrows, via The Good Book Stall
"Whatever new ideas we come up with for church or mission, we need to find the time to do them!" is a clue as to what makes this book different from the usual self-help books and articles. Tim Chester includes plenty of examples as to why we're busy, and how to devise proper time management. He also points out that while the Bible says we should be busy - "poured out" (Philippians 2:17), "we work as those whose deeds will follow them into eternity" (Revelation 14:13). Make time to read this book!
