Is there anybody out there?
Which religion, if any, is true?

Alive!Bob Stoneham, via The Good Book Stall
If you want a book to refresh yourself with, or to give to someone seeking to understand Christianity, this book is for you.
Dan Clark looks at the core event of Christianity, the resurrection. He shows that there is no historical doubt that Christ was crucified. He then studies the resurrection and the evidence that it took place. He highlights the reports by contemporary historians as well as the Gospel accounts. He notes that the differences found in the Gospels validate their accuracy, as this reflects what the police or courts would expect to occur in witness statements. He also looks at alternative views to the resurrection and highlights major flaws in all of these.
The book is very well written and flows naturally through the topic. There are also a series of personal testimonies spread throughout the book.
This book provides the ‘head’ information and knowledge about the resurrection; it is up to the reader to have their ‘heart’ challenged. I found it a very good read and one that I will keep on my bookshelf as well as giving to those who are seeking to understand the core of Christianity.
