As a general rule, when a number or ordinal precedes the word day in Scripture, it is a 24-hour day. We read, for example, that "six days you will work ... but the seventh day is rest", and "very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb", and also, "when they left the next day .. "When talking about the day without saying how many, it is generally an indefinite period, which can be short or long. Of these "days" there are at least six. Two refer to the present tense.
