      Muhammad: A Very Short Introduction

      This Oxford University Press short introduction series never disappoints. Excellently appointed, strong in content and format, they are truly accessible and engaging in stimulating new understanding in a dominant worldview. Classic traditions are explored here that engage rational, tradition and faith for those familiar or unacquainted with Muslim lifestyle and commitment. There are many painful recent caricatures of Muhammad yet here Jonathan Brown does a masterly job in his exploration of this Qur’an recorded messenger of God. Portraits of this 'prophet' were intelligent and engaging and my only struggle was the quantity and scale of font in this excellent guide.
