All to often I hear the refrain "we cannot know the mind of God " Perhaps, but I firmly believe that having been given intellect and curiosity, we have an obligation to try to use rational thought to get closer to understanding all the many questions that start with "why?" Faith is difficult to achieve, and harder to maintain. Even the disciples were regularly challenged in their faith, and they knew Jesus personally; they walked with Him daily. How much harder must it be for us these two thousand years later, in a world that is falling apart around us?
