SEASONAL DETOURS FAILURE = HOPE AHEAD is based on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. It takes the believer, who has chosen to surrender and follow JESUS CHRIST, through a path/quest of building onto their faith: Virtue, Knowledge, Self-Control, Perseverance, Godliness, Brotherly Kindness, and Love (2 Peter 1:5-7). Each of these faith building characteristics are divided into 4 segments. Each segment/chapter, consist of a Time in which GOD says we will experience: A Time to Be Born, Lose, Cast Away, Build Up, Get, Break Down, Plant, Kill, Hate, Keep Silence, of War, Laugh, Cast Away Stones, Pluck Up that Which is Planted, Mourn, Refrain from Embracing, Die, Sew, Heal, Embrace, Weep, Rend, Gather Stones Together, Speak, Dance, Love, and of Peace.These 28 chapters are not in biblical sequence. They align with the building up of the faith characteristics I have personally learned and believe occurs as we draw closer to the LORD in order to merge our dreams, desires, and will with the HIS will, plan, and purpose. Faith building is a process like building up of muscles. Faith is strengthened the more it is used and exercised. Faith is the ability to hope in what you cannot see. Trusting and believing in GOD, WHO we can't see, touch, or understand. But we believe to be real and true. We have faith in HIS WORD. We believe and trust in HIS promises.This book blends in each season with examples of the great heroes of faith who have struggled as we have. It includes scriptures to strengthen and encourage through each seasonal detour.When you truly follow JESUS CHRIST, you do not know where HE will take you to or through. What is known, is the outcome is meant for good This book was placed on my heart when GOD revealed to me my failures were simply detours. HE showed me HIS Faithfulness in my life wasn't contingent upon my perfection, thoughts of worthiness, nor works. HE is Faithful because that is WHO HE is.When I was able to let go of the failures and "should haves...", peace began to melt the bitterness in my soul. I began to see things differently. I realized GOD has a plan and a purpose for my life at HIS perfect timing, not mine."To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.." Trust GOD is in control no matter what.As I began to plan out SEASONAL DETOURS FAILURE, street signs began to take on biblical meaning to me. I felt as though GOD was speaking to me through each sign. HE was giving me directions and warnings for life.The LORD began to make known to me how we plan out our life and view success according to society perspective and not heavenly perspective. Our vision is obscured by our limited understanding of GOD's ability.Therefore, we need to go through detours and various terrain to know that the impossible is possible I share my story in the Preface and sporatically throughout the book. In 2019, I was needing to have a second open-heart surgery. My health was deteriorating along with my faith. GOD in HIS perfect timing healed my heart. HE did what no one can explain, the impossible. I no longer need to have surgery. Regardless of my story or your story, GOD is Good, True, Longsuffering, Patient, and Faithful I pray you are blessed with this book.
